Description:
The tension lever is a metal device consisting of bar, chain and hooks used to secure cargo so that it does not shift while the ship is underway.
Applications
These devices are generally used on ships carrying wheeled cargo, though it also may serve to secure baled cargo on EPT types of vessel. Its primary function is to tension the lashings holding the cargo.
Technologies
The hooks of this gear are fastened to cargo and an anchoring point. They are connected by a chain and a metal bar, which acts as a lever to tighten the chain.
